Save Our Teen Drivers

Advocating for driver's education changes. Educating the public on the problem. Finding a solution that saves lives.

An amazing time at Driving Concepts

I apologize for letting this blog go dark for the past five months. I’ve been very busy, but that’s not an excuse. Our teens need help and having a full plate shouldn’t keep anyone away from trying to help the situation.

The non-profit I work for, Driving Concepts Foundation is being launched in a big way. We’ve been operating for 10 years, but becoming a foundation is a long and difficult path to navigate. We are being thrust from educating 10-12 students a month to becoming leaders in teen driving education in Southern California. Next week our founder, Judy Ray, will be speaking on a panel discussion about teen driving in Los Angeles. In December we will be teaching 120 students in San Diego how to drive safely and avoid crashes. The December class will help the foundation get its start, with the funds it needs to finish the process, launch a Web site, and reach the people who need to be reached.

I’m very excited to share this news with you. It is my hope in 2010 that we can continue to extend our reach and save more lives.
